My Home in Cargill is Now Sold,

After several years, my family has finally sold their home in Cargill, Ontario. The sale will close on February 1, 2007. This date will mark an end to our 'Cargill Days', and a new beginning for my parents.

They now will have the opportunity to really pursue whatever they want to do. No longer will they have to worry about their home (2 hours from Kitchener). They won't have to make long trips up to clean, maintain and meet with real estate agents. It is finally done.

What they will do next, I do not know. Perhaps they will retire, travel, continue with their hobby-business of Doberman breeding, or ??

Chris and spent the weekend in Cargill to help pack and load the 40 foot trailer. It is somewhat bitter sweet to have to move the remainders of our possessions out. I guess I always felt that I had a home in Cargill to visit (and perhaps move into). It is hard to finally do what you have always wanted to do--sell the house. There are a great number of good and not so good memories associated with our Cargill home. All now will reside only in our hearts and minds as new people will begin living there and establishing their own memories.

I have lived in Kitchener-Waterloo for nearly 7 or so years now. While I enjoy the opportunity that living in the city provides, I do miss the country...
